Tailored one-on-one help Gets to Solutions more quickly.

Customized private training is ideal for resolving behaviour issues, helping your rescue dog adjust, general obedience, and solid good manners.

I value our partnership in helping your dog become The Best Dog for you. Go Team! My goal is for you and your dog to strengthen your bond and clear up the misunderstandings that lead to problem behaviours.

I have a special soft spot for the challenge of a dog who can look scary and aggressive, but you know is a sweetheart at home. It’s stressful!

I’ve worked with many dogs who struggle with confidence and behaviour challenges, and find that once the dogs learn new skills, their human gains confidence, we see a huge overall improvement, and much more enjoyable walks.

Private training with Fuzzy Buddy starts with an Assessment & Lesson ($198.99+tax) where I’ll get to know your dog, assess their behaviour and temperament, and go over your training goals, and start training. This gives you an opportunity to meet me, discuss a training plan, estimate the number of lessons to accomplish your goals, and set out next steps. The foundational training games will get you started and primed for follow up lessons.

How I Work With Clients
Below are links to an Intake form and calendar, along with info on how I work with clients. Once I have your Intake form and you’ve chosen an appointment time I will be in touch with more detail on where we’ll meet as well as send an invoice. Payment can be made via cash or e-transfer. (Note: For clients in my service area an in-home lesson may be available on request.)

Reactivity & Aggression
Aggression and reactivity are an emotional response to feeling unsafe from your dog’s perspective. At Fuzzy Buddy we address the source of your dog’s behaviour not just the symptoms like barking, lunging, and biting. Together you and your dog will learn new skills to build pup’s confidence, teach alternate calming behaviours, and restore the bond you have with your dog. We’ll start indoors to build skills without distractions before heading out for real-life practice. It’s important to understand that resolving reactivity isn’t like learning a new trick, it takes time to learn new skills, lots of repetition, and training sessions in real life. Aggression, reactivity and excessive barking are an emotional response. Whatever training option you choose, please ensure it deals with the root cause of reactivity, rather than merely suppressing behaviour temporarily. It’s important to address what triggers the emotions to prevent unwanted behaviour(s) from returning.
