FREE CLASS!

Puppy’s 1st Social

It’s exciting to bring a new puppy into the family! Those little bundles of fur bring so much love. And they have so much to learn. Including how to play with and understand other dogs. Sounds crazy, but as a social species, they learn best with practice.

Join us for your complimentary session

Puppy’s 1st Social is a free play session plus Q&A for new puppies and their humans, brought to you by Ridgeview Animal Hospital and Fuzzy Buddy Dog Training.

Your puppy likely hasn’t met many other dogs yet and it’s important they do, in a positive way. Some puppies are timid and gain confidence with play, some youngsters are rough and learn to be more gentle with their playmates.

Plus, we’ve got answers for your burning questions, such as how to make potty training a breeze, and what to do about those razor sharp baby teeth. Where do the evening crazies come from? Let us put your mind at ease.

  • Potty training
  • Nipping and chewing
  • What’s normal behaviour for new puppies
  • Appropriate play
  • What “socialization” actually is

Please Note: the clinic is a sterilized environment and safe for all puppies even those not yet fully vaccinated.

Our Service Commitment

Safety:
Your pet’s safety and well-being is our first priority. We will take every precaution to ensure a positive and safe experience. Fuzzy Buddy Pet Services reserves the right to decline entry to any dog that presents behaviour issues which may be dangerous or disruptive to a group class. If your dog is assessed as unsuitable to participate in group classes you will be referred to private lessons and given a full refund for any remaining sessions.

Training Protocol:
We believe your dog is doing the best they can with the knowledge they have. We use positive reinforcement, rather than corrections, to teach the dog what we want instead of just saying “No!” We stand behind the training methods we use, which are based on the scientific principles of how dogs learn. From experience we know that, correctly applied, these methods are highly effective. Please note, the individual success of you and your dog depends on your commitment to your dog’s training. Therefore, we cannot guarantee success.
Policies

Vaccinations:
All dogs must be up to date with their annual vaccination schedule (including distemper, rabies, bordetella, parvovirus, and leptospirosis). You must provide proof of vaccination prior to the start of the first class. For fully vaccinated dogs, a Titers test is also accepted.

Behaviour & Safety:
Fuzzy Buddy Pet Services reserves the right to refuse service to any pet for any reason including, without limitation, if it appears that the pet is sick, injured, in pain, or that its behaviour could jeopardize the health and safety of other pets, pet owners, or our staff. Although we carefully screen all applicants, we occasionally discover a class setting is not appropriate a specific dog. We reserve the right to permanently remove a dog from our services at any time.

Payment & Refunds:
Payment for classes is due upon registration to confirm your spot in the class. A full refund will be provided if we are notified of cancellation at least five business days prior to the first class. If your dog is unable to attend all classes due to injury, illness, or start of heat cycle during enrolment, you will receive a credit for any remaining classes toward a future class.

Cancellations:
If minimum enrolment for a group class is not met prior to the first lesson the class may be combined with another, rescheduled, or cancelled. In the event a class is changed you may be transferred, receive credit toward a future class, or receive a full refund.

Group Class Attendance:
Participation in all class sessions is highly recommended as each class builds on the previous one. If you are unable to attend please let your instructor know as a courtesy.
