Policies and Waiver Form – Standard Group Classes

Our Service Guarantee:

Safety

Your pet’s safety and well-being is our first priority. We will take every precaution to ensure a positive and safe experience.

Vaccinations

All dogs must be up to date with their regular vaccination schedule (including distemper, rabies, bordatella, parvovirus, and leptospirosis). You must provide proof of vaccination prior to the start of the first class. For fully vaccinated dogs a titers test is also accepted.

Training Protocol

We use positive reinforcement, rather than corrections, so to teach the dog what we want instead of just saying “No!” We stand behind the training methods we use, which are based on the scientific principles of how dogs learn (aka learning theory). From experience we know that correctly applied, these methods are highly effective. Please note, the individual success of you and your dog depends on your commitment to your dog’s training. Therefore, we cannot guarantee success.

Fuzzy Buddy Pet Services reserves the right to decline entry to any dog that presents behaviour issues which may be dangerous or disruptive to the class. If your dog is determined to be unsuitable to participate in the group class, you will be referred to a private consultation and given a full refund for any remaining sessions. One-on-one training is available to resolve behaviour issues.

Policies:

Payment & Refunds

Invoices are due and payable upon receipt and at or prior to our first session. Payment can be made by e-transfer or cash.

A full refund will be provided if we are notified of cancellation at least five days prior to the first lesson. If a dog is unable to attend due to an injury, illness, or start of heat cycle during enrolment, you will receive a credit for any remaining lessons toward a future class.

Cancellations

If minimum enrolment for a class is not met prior to the first lesson the class may be combined with another, rescheduled, or cancelled. In the event a class is changed you may be transferred, receive credit toward a future class, or receive a full refund.

Class Attendance

Participation in all class sessions is highly recommended as we build on previous lessons as we progress.

Behaviour, Safety, & Health

Please do not bring your dog to class if they are not well or in heat. Diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy or other changes in health or behaviour should be addressed by a veterinarian before your dog attends class.

We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet for any reason including, without limitation, if it appears that the pet is sick, injured, in pain, or that its behaviour could jeopardize the health and safety of other pets or our staff. Although we carefully screen all applicants, occasionally we discover that this is not an appropriate service for every dog. We reserve the right to permanently remove a dog from our services at any time.

Children in Class

Family members are encouraged to attend group classes. To protect the safety of everyone in class, canine and human alike, please follow these class rules:

● Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a second adult and under parental control at all times
● Running or yelling in class is not allowed
● Children should not approach or pet any other dog in class without permission from the dog’s owner
